The last concert of this year's festival

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 6 p.m., the final concert of the 24th Mahler Jihlava Festival will take place at the the Holy Cross´ Elevation Church. The Dresden Children's Philharmonic Choir will come to Jihlava. Professor Gunter Berger has been the choir's conductor since 2012.

The Dresden Children's Philharmonic Choir boasts a history of more than fifty years. It is one of the most famous and successful children's choirs in Germany. Currently, approximately 140 children sing in various formations of the choir. The repertoire of the Philharmonic Children's Choir includes works from the Renaissance to the 21st century and is constantly expanding. The choir regularly performs with its home Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra throughout Germany. It is also a frequent guest abroad. Recently, it has performed in the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, England, France, and most recently in China in 2024.
